Green and Gold has created a strategic partnership with Clearshield to make sure that our solar panel systems, not only last longer, but perform better. Clearshield is included as standard on our premium solar kits, but is also available on request on all of our solar power systems.
ClearShield, a polymeric resin that when applied to ordinary glass forms a strong chemical bond. The result is ClearShield Low-M® (Low-Maintenance) Glass that prevents contaminants from bonding to the surface and limits further damage caused by corrosion and chemical attack. Dirt can easily be removed using normal cleaning methods. For a Green and Gold solar power owner this means, less cleaning and better performance.
ClearShield is completely transparent, chemically inert, non-hazardous and UV stable. Unlike a coating, ClearShield becomes part of the glass so will not peel, flake or crack.
In tests conducted by Green and Gold Solar, it was shown that clearshield reduces cleaning requirements by 50%, on average, and maintains the original light transmission to provide higher energy conversion efficiency by up to six times.
