Is Solar Power Responsible for Rising Energy Costs?
Anybody who has read the paper lately will notice that the solar power industry has taken a beating. Solar power is often used as a scapegoat for rising electricity prices, but as a bunch of studies show, this is plain untrue. One of the biggest myths going around at the moment is that solar power raises the price of electricity, however this ignores the fact that rooftop solar reduces the need for energy companies to upgrade infrastructure – saving Australia millions.
